This page is no longer maintained, buy or search for Johnson Brothers pottery here.
It is often difficult to state with any certainty when a particular pottery started business. Early records are often unavailable. The many ownership changes that inevitably take place, confuse the issue further. In the case of Johnson Brothers, it would appear that the name was first used in the 1880's. Subsequently and quite quickly the business expanded and became one of the best known and loved names in the production of tableware. In recent years the business was bought out by Wedgwood, but thankfully the name of Johnson Brothers lives on, even though it is produced by a different factory.
Through this page we will display photographs of the many different discontinued Johnson Brothers tableware, decorative and giftware designs. We hope that this will serve as a useful point of reference for those people trying to identify their retired sets and pieces.
However, due to the number of Johnson Bros discontinued lines and therefore images it has been necessary to place the images under their corresponding first letter to reduce download time. So if you do not know the first letter of your pattern, we are afraid it's a case of searching through.
Should you see a flashing lightbulb like the one below, then there is a special offer on the design you are viewing. Clicking on the lightbulb will take you directly to our Special Offers page.
Development of these pages will is an ongoing project, so keep checking back.
